Tl;DR at end.

So, I know it’s been a while since the last one. A bunch has happened between then and now.
Our landlords tried to kick us out again because of our non-verbal, developmentally delayed, low functioning autistic son. The lady under us figured she would try again with the new owners. So, the owners got “creative” this time and tried a few different things. But they fucked up hard, we keep every single piece of paper they send us. Back in November they sent us the lease renewal, on it it said, “if we don’t hear back from you it will auto renew for the year”. Our lease renews in feb(expires at the end), so we just didn’t respond as it was gonna auto renew. Well, they tried to charge us the new rent amount but not the yearly one, they put it to the monthly one and they tried to do it a month early. Well, I had already changed the auto pay stuff to the amount it was supposed to be as the max it could charge. We noticed there was $300 due sometime in late febish early march, saying we didn’t pay the correct amounts. So, I paid them so they wouldn’t bitch until we could get to the office. Well, we saw them a couple days later and had a “talk” and they were like “you never replied to our renewal offer”, so I went and got the paper they sent. We also gave them the note from our sons Dr. putting them in their place and explaining the laws to them and how if they proceeded we would be able to sue the shit out of them.

While I went to get the paper they had sent, my wife talked to the lady and informed her of the entire situation. How the lady under us was warned before being shown the apartment, and then when she first started bitching to the old owners they offered to let her out of her lease and give her her money back so she could get a new place, she refused. She also told her about all the times “karen”(bitch under us) has called the cops and how they don’t even respond anymore because the last time she tried it we weren’t even home, and the cop really drove home what I said to him about how if she does it again I will have her for harassment. We have video and audio of these too. The lady at the office told us she had no clue about the fact karen was warned, had already tried this shit with the last owners, or that we were dealing with the police. Fun fact, almost all of the pd/fd/ems people know our son because they go to the schools a lot. My Wife also informed the office lady that we had bought karen a bt eye mask to try and make it easier for her to sleep and of the note that we included(bunch of this is gone over in older posts). She looked at my wife and was like “so she knows banging back makes him bang more…… why the hell is she doing it?”. She also asked my wife why we hadn’t complained and she told her what we tell everyone, we know it isn’t easy living under us, so we don’t bitch.

On my way back I was looking at the paper and I noticed why there was the extra $300 charge. So, when I got back I was like “well you guys now owe us $300”, she tried to argue but didn’t get very far. Says we should see the credit on our account in a couple days. It never shows. I go back up there and there’s one of the actual owners there. I told her everything and she seemed pretty annoyed it got to us having to come in at all. Which is ironic as they kept shuffling people around. We never spoke to the same person twice up to this point(crazy turnover rate right?), so why she thought it could be taken care of properly was “amusing”. So, she goes to pull the portal up and it wasn’t letting her in, I saw the screen. After like 3 or 4 times of her trying I was like “you said you came in from Richmond airport. It prob doesn’t like the out of state IP”. So she apologized and said she would try when she got back to her hotel and had access to her laptop. It never showed up. Well, we get an email saying we still have to sign the new lease(this got done when my wife and I went). well we never got the copy of the signed one so we were like “lets just go and handle that”. I go in and was like “you guys sent us an email saying we didn’t sign the lease but we did that last month and still haven’t gotten our copy. Well this weeks lady was like let me pull your account up, so she does and she goes “It’s right here, did they even bother to look at all?”. So she goes to print it but her computer wont see the printer for some reason, so she has one of the other workers try to print and still nothing but it actually saw the printer and sent it. They look and it’s out of paper…….. they fill the tray and it just starts printing out a ton of shit. At one point it says toner low and I heard one of them say “we don’t have more toner”, so I was like don’t worry mine has said low for 6 months. Well it finally prints and looked fine. She also said the money should be credited, as she had wrote an email to the home office about it I saw her do it so she wasn’t lying. This is like the very end of march.

The credit never shows. So I turned off the auto pay completely, we went and got a cashiers check for the rent minus the $300. Noted on the check and the envelope was why it was missing the $300. Well cut forward to like the second week in April and we get a notice on our door saying we owe them $300 and if we didn’t pay it in 5 days they would begin the eviction process. So I go up to the office as they’re supposed to still be there. Says “well be back at 9 am”, there was cars still there. They have forgotten to take it down before, so I tried the door and it was locked. So I began pounding on the door almost taking it off the hinges(you ever seen a door flex?). Nothing, so I left and we showed up before 9am the next day. They were already in the office. So I went in and I wasn’t nice. before the door even closed I was like “Who the fuck is in charge and wants to explain why not only am I back in here for the same fucking issue, but now you guys are sending threats”. Surprisingly, it was the same people as last time. The lady I spoke to last time goes “I’m in charge, what’s going on now?” I hand her the notice they sent and she was like “lets get this sorted for good”. after she typed for a bit she goes “it was just the $300 correct” so I said ya and whatever fees they tried to throw on. A min or two goes by and she goes “there it goes”, Showed me that it did show $0, said the app might take a day or so to catch up, but it’s out of their system. I then informed her that the copy of the lease she gave me the last time wasn’t the signed copy(this is an adobe thing so not entirely their fault). She says she will print a new one and then goes “it still says it hasn’t been signed…..” opens up the lease and goes “the signatures are right there” so she clicked some more shit and finally we had a printed signed copy and the money crap sorted out.

So with all that shit out of the way. I’ll be taking orders in again soon. I had to order supplies so I’m waiting on those. Once those are in I’ll start taking orders again. I think I’m still going to send people to Lazr for OLEDS. She does good work and it’ll help keep the workload low for me(health issues are fun). I did buy a 6L Ultrasonic Cleaner too so I wont have to send things to lazr to clean anymore. Also ordered some new tips as I needed them.


I did some fun things with my time off.

– Bonder. If you use Home Assistant and love Futurama, this is for you. It not only acts like bender, but it sounds like him. It’s currently best used as a split setup, but I’m thinking of distilling a model down for it so it can be done completely local. The memory function bogs down if you don’t have a good GPU.

– PVC-Pipe. Want to make your own custom piper voice for your AI assistant? This will help you do it fast and easy. Either locally or in google colab. The credits you get with the $10 colab monthly sub is more than enough to train multiple qualities of the voice you want. Do the monthly sub and cancel it when done, the pay as you go doesn’t seem to have access to the higher ram options.

– The-New-3DS-C It’s a an open source USB-C board for the 3/2DS family of handheld systems. That isn’t restricted by a jackass.
